Japanese style eel with plenty of fat. Unagiju 5,830 yen + additional charge is inevitable! ? There are some drawbacks that come with being a busy store! ? 2023.12 Weekend afternoon, 2nd rotation (after 12:00) [Waiting time] Waiting outside the store 20 minutes Waiting inside the store 20 minutes I was able to enter the store at the beginning of the second rotation. “Sold out” sign when leaving the store It seems that it was sold out on this day with just over 30 servings. [Unagiju] ・Shinbai Eel Juice 5,830 yen (tax included) ・Liver sucking around 300 yen? ? (forget) ・The flesh is extremely soft. The meat is very fatty and very delicious. There is no characteristic muddy smell at all, and it goes well with the slightly sweet and crisp salted plum kaeshi. ・Because it had a lot of fat, it felt tough towards the end. It's not a disgusting taste, but it's a high-quality, delicious fat. My wife said it was completely fine, so it would only be felt by someone who doesn't like fat. ・I want a little more scent that clears my nose. I feel like that unique scent is disgusting. ・Order liver soup or soup separately. [Inside the store] Private izakaya-style floor plan of around 15 tatami mats 19 audience seats + 7 staff members It's over capacity. It feels quite narrow. There was no sound in the store, and since the neighboring customers were close and the space was small, it was inevitable that there would be silence. Is it no good to talk? As much as I think, Everyone around me was whispering or silent. The distance between the seats next to me was quite close, and the waiting time inside the store felt long. Even during the meal, the staff were busy coming and going. Even though it was daytime, it could hardly be called a 6,000 yen performance. It wasn't the atmosphere to relax and enjoy high quality eel jus. As expected, it is a famous and busy store. The taste is definitely very delicious! A shop I would like to visit again if I have the chance! However, the lunch was a bit disappointing due to it being a busy restaurant.

It was scheduled to open at 11am, so I went there around 10:20am, but there were already 14 people waiting and it was my second turn. After 10:30, there were over 20 people in line, so they opened the store 25 minutes early. So I finally got in after waiting 50 minutes after the 14 people in front of me got in. I ordered the eel, and it was as soft as the reputation. The flesh was soft and fluffy, like white fish, and the sauce was light, but it was delicious. It was worth waiting in line for over an hour.

Urawa has long been home to many eel restaurants, and is known as a fierce battleground where people compete in terms of taste. Hamana, Yamazaki-ya serves Kyosui eel. It is packed with famous and prestigious stores such as Masuya and Nakamuraya. In the midst of all this, we visited Unagi Musashino, which is renowned for its top-notch craftsmanship and serves fresh eel. The store, which is located in the downtown area near Urawa Station, does not have its own parking lot, and customers must use paid parking nearby. Arrived in Urawa around 10:30. I looked for a parking lot near the store, but it was full, so I used the underground parking lot of PARCO, a large commercial facility about a 10-minute walk away. The store is located at the back of the first floor of an apartment building, so it may be difficult for first-time visitors to find the store. The tenant on the first floor facing the road is a flower shop, and there is an ``eel'' nobori near the entrance of the building, so it's easy to spot if you look for it. The store's appearance is reminiscent of a small restaurant in Kyoto, which is typical of eel specialty restaurants. It takes time to park the car, and the first customers are already inside the store. I'll have to wait outside. A female staff member listens to your order in advance. It's a pre-order system. On this day, the only order was for 5,830 yen (tax included) of Japanese eel Shinko eel from Sadowara, Miyazaki Prefecture. It's my first time eating a new eel, so I'm excited to see what it will taste like. Later, while the owner was busy cooking, he came out of the way to explain that the order was currently being prepared. I felt the owner's thoughtfulness in going out of his way to meet the customers waiting outside. While you wait, the fragrant aroma of eel grilling over binchotan charcoal will whet your appetite. Waited about 30 minutes. I was guided into the store and seated. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is reminiscent of a small Japanese restaurant. There are about 5 counter seats and 6 to 7 two-person table seats. The atmosphere gives a calm impression. As soon as I was guided into the store, a new eel was brought out right in front of me. The eel, dyed brown by the sauce, gives an elegant impression. The meat is so soft that when you put your chopsticks into it, it slides right in. When you put it in your mouth, it feels soft and melt-in-your-mouth, but the meat is firm. The greasy paste is just right. And the sauce has a sweet base to my liking, with a touch of soy sauce. The sweetness of this sauce and the soy sauce combine to bring out the flavor of the eel perfectly. Despite the firmness of the meat, it was the first time I had ever experienced a texture that melted in my mouth. When you combine this with the eel fat, sauce, and white rice, you can probably describe it in one word: ``delicious.'' The indescribable eel flavor spreads in your mouth. I was convinced that this is the deliciousness of new eel. The method of cooking white rice is just right. Personally, I like the eel to be a little firmer, but considering how soft the eel meat is, this is probably the best way to cook it. Also, the pickles were well marinated, with just the right amount of salt. Famous restaurants have a reason to be famous. Why not give it a try?

I went to Eel Musashino, a 3rd-generation eel novice owner who set up a shop in Urawa and does not cut corners or compromise, and is very particular about his food. Reservations are not accepted. We do not reserve eel. Sit on the chairs in front of the store and wait your turn (you won't be able to enter unless there are enough people, so it's better to sit on the chairs and wait when all the people are there) There is a limited number of eels available on the day, and the last one will have a yellow tag. I parked at a nearby parking lot, but the parking lot nearby was often full and the road in front of the store was narrow, so I used the municipal parking lot in front of the station (it's a little expensive, but you can definitely park there) because it's spacious. I get lost where I parked. There are chairs in front of the store and I sit down and wait. Today's eel was written as a new eel. It's my first time eating a new eel, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it tastes. As your turn gradually approaches, the waiter brings you the menu and takes your order. The clerk told me to wait a little while as preparations were made, and handed me a number plate number 1. Even though the owner was busy, he came outside and explained the situation, and told me that he was currently grilling the eel, so please wait a little longer. (What the owner meant was that the seats were for two people. There is not one seat available, so I would like you to wait outside, and I am sorry to inform you that I will start grilling the eel so that I can serve you the eel immediately, but I would like you to wait outside a little longer.) As I was waiting, I could smell the delicious aroma of grilled eel, and since I was waiting outside, I savored the moment when I thought the smoke from grilling the eel was a nice aroma, and then I was guided to my seat, sat down, enjoyed my tea, and reconfirmed my order. I came to visit and ordered three eel dishes. The inside of the store is filled with the aroma of grilled eel, and it appears that Kishu Bincho charcoal is being used. The staff grilled it for me while I was waiting outside, so I was greeted with kindness and politeness from the staff as I waited for a little while. Eel jus are served at When you open the lid of the eel jug, the indescribable fragrant and sweet aroma and the scent of soy sauce will whet your appetite. It's a great scent! If you eat it as the staff told you, the first thing you'll notice is the aroma of soy sauce, and when you put it in your mouth, it's not too sweet. It has the right amount of sweetness, and the eel has some fat, so it's not muddy, which is natural, and it has a unique eel scent (like a river fish scent). The skin is easy to cut with chopsticks, but the meat is soft even if it's a little firm. They start preparing the eel from 4 a.m., and thanks to uncompromising preparation, even the elderly can eat it with confidence❣️ (There are no small bones, so it's safe) The eel is produced using young eel from Sadowara, Miyazaki Prefecture. A young eel that grew to a shipping size in less than a year. I don't know of any other brand of eel, but the fat is just right, and the meat is firm enough that when you eat it, it's fluffy but has a chewy texture. The aroma of the melting soy sauce and just the right amount of sweetness spread in your mouth, and the fluffy and melty meat falls apart. The rice is not too hard, and you can swallow it right away with just a few bites. Thanks to the uncompromising dedication, you can swallow it without chewing. Mr. Musashino Unagi is a third-generation owner where you can enjoy the perfect version of eel jus. Pickled pickles include pickled small eggplants, pickled daikon radish, and pickled cucumbers. These pickles are exquisite. They are pickles that are perfect for resting your chopsticks and refreshing your mouth, and are delicious without being too salty. My 81 year old mother couldn't finish eating. When I asked the staff about it, they asked me to wait a little while, but they came to my seat, lowered the weight, put it in a take-out container, and even gave me a handbag. Thank you. Thank you for your kind and polite farewell until the very end. (My mother is from Urawa and I stopped by after visiting her grave) I thought I might not be able to eat it because it was getting late, but I was able to eat it and was very impressed. My mother has dementia, I forgot my bag when I left the store, and when I went back to get it, the store clerk was kind and helpful, and I was grateful. This is a restaurant I would like to eat at again. I really like the third generation's commitment to eel. Also, be careful not to damage your body. I didn't order the liver soup, but next time I will order it properly.

First of all, I have never eaten more delicious eel than this restaurant. Although the price is high, I can confidently recommend it because you will be more than satisfied. Compared to a nearby eel restaurant in the same price range (a restaurant located on the opposite side of Urawa Station that sells the impressive Bando Taro), this one is by far the most delicious. Not only the eel itself, but also the way it was grilled, the seasoning, and the flavor of the sauce were exquisitely balanced, and I felt that a lot of research had been done to make it truly delicious. The liver soup was also delicious. The first 3 people can also order grilled liver. I couldn't order it this time because it was out of stock, but the grilled liver I had when I visited previously was excellent. There are only a few seats in the store, so if you don't line up 30 minutes before the store opens, you may have to wait a while. This time it was a Saturday, but I went there 25 minutes before they opened and ended up waiting for about an hour. Everyone at the store was polite and had good customer service. I would definitely like to come back to try grilled liver. Thank you for the meal.

It is no exaggeration to say that it is the best eel restaurant in Japan❗ The golden rule is to get in line quite early, as tickets often sell out and are canceled mid-way. I lined up 75 minutes before opening on Sunday and was the first to get in. P.S. This year, 2023, the first person in line was 90 minutes before the store opened. They also opened the store 10 minutes earlier. We recommend the new eel gozen which is available in limited quantities and comes with grilled liver. The chewy texture of the grilled liver and the bitterness of the charred flavor are berry delicious👍️ Also, the amount of asparagus with sesame sauce has increased from last year. Also, please note that takeout is not possible and children who cannot sit on a chair are not allowed to enter the store.

I wasn't able to go on the day of the ox, so I visited it a little early. I visited 5 times before and was it closed early or closed? I finally gave up and couldn't eat because the line was too long. I arrived 35 minutes before the store opened, and there were already 13 people waiting in the first round...I had the new eel ju (large serving of rice) and liver soup. As per word of mouth and media reviews, the work was thorough and the grilled food was fluffy and delicious. To be honest, there aren't many large servings of eel rice at any restaurant, but this one was really large and filling.
